Lithium-ion Battery Separator Film Line

The market for lithium-ion battery separator, which are used in rechargeable batteries for mobile phones, laptops, electric vehicles and hybird cars, is growing rapidly. The Battery separator is a microporous film placed between the positive and negative electrodes in a liquid electrodes in a liquid electrolyte gel or molten salt battery to prevent the physical contact of the positive and negative electrodes of the battery, while acting as a reservoir for the electrolyte to allow ions to pass freely.


The dry process extrusion line provided by HB Machinery can produce PP single-layer base film, and can also produce PP-PE-PP and PP-PP-PP three-layer co-extruded base film for lithium-ion battery separator. After the base film is made, the film is formed into micropores by unidirectional stretching or bidirectional stretching process. The thickness of the microporous film is generally 10-40um, the pore size is small(<1um) and the porosity is low(~40%).
